In 1988 Santiago Urquiza ventured in the establishment of CENCOR (Central de Corretajes), a holding company dedicated to the development of infrastructure for financial markets. In 1993 he started a financial brokerage firm Enlace Int. In 2000 PiP Latam a Price Vendor, and in 2005 created MEI (Mercado Electrónico Institucional) that develops platforms for institutional brokerage, securities lending, and mutual fund distribution network. This year Santiago launched a new stock exchange in Mexico: Bolsa Institucional de Valores (BIVA). Today CENCOR has a presence in Mexico, USA, and 6 countries in LatinAm.
Since 1977, Santiago has worked in the Financial Sector, starting in Banamex at the Institutional Investments area and consolidated his experience in Banco de México. Afterwards, he started the operations for the following FX Dealers: Consultoría Internacional, Interamericana and Fomento de Divisas.
