Mauricio is a passionate serial entrepreneur with a drive in making an impact in the world. For the last few years, he has been an active investor in start-ups. His experience goes from creating multiple start-ups to operating Multinational Companies. In his last venture, Mauricio Founded Switch, a bill payments platform in Mexico, which is focused on empowering banked and non-banked individuals to spend less time paying their services.
Prior to creating Switch, Mauricio was COO for Revworldwide, a multicurrency company based in Austin operating in 14 countries. Today he is a Board Member and Investor in the company. Prior to Rev, Mauricio Co-founded Sitewit a pay per click marketing company based in Florida with access to over 45 million customers.
Before Sitewit, Mauricio spent 3 years in Europe running a distribution hotel company with over 8,000 contracted hotels across the globe. He previously served as a Vice President at General Electric, where, for eight years, he held a series of leadership roles including areas of responsibility in sales, risk, finance, and M&A. He also proudly served for three years as the national co-leader for the GE Hispanic Forum. He currently sits on several boards in areas of finance, real estate, manufacturing, and food distribution worldwide.
Mauricio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from ITESM Mexico and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from The Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell.
