Biography

Jorge Lopez is a businessman with corporate and multicultural experience for 24 + years. He is a founding partner of VITALIS ®, Member of the Surveillance Committee of CONSAR appointed by COPARMEX, Member of the Investment Committee of INFONAVIT representing the Business Sector, a global advisor to the AEM (Mexican Entrepreneurs Association).

Previously, Jorge was the former Director of Sales for Metlife Mexico and Metropolitan Federal Government (2013/14), Pro-Mexico Trade and Investment, Global former Head of Unit (2007/2010) & former Minister for North America residing in the United States and Canada (2010 /2013), EO Entrepreneurs Organization (Member since 2004 President & International Board 2005), ANFORAMA ® todo para su cocina, Member of the Board (2006/08) and COMAPRTE, AC Member of the Board (2001 to date).

Jorge has extensive Board Member experience in different industries, as well as high level management experience, always promoting teamwork & positive solutions to challenges. He has proven experience in tough business environments; marketing, sales, administration, finance, investment and project management.

His impressive communication skills are exemplified by his being a former Bachelor and Diploma level professor for 4 years at ITAM and U. Contemporary, together with experience in media and national and international conference speaking experience. He has experience in one on one meetings at the highest level in government and within the private sector. He has been named one of the “30 most promising under 30” as well as one of the “40 most promising under 40” by the business magazine Expansion.

Jorge studied Analytical Structure (Bachelor in Actuarial (ITAM) and has a degree in Applied Statistics for Quality Control (ITAM), a Diploma in Intelligence (ITESM), and is currently studying the Master’s program of Philosophy at the Universidad Panamericana. This is combined with his experience in projects with quantitative and qualitative challenges in the private, social and public sectors.

His international business experience spans more than 9 years; 2 1⁄2 globally with headquarters in Mexico City, 3 1⁄2 years based in the United States (Washington DC) and Canada (Vancouver) plus last 2 years related to the global environment in the pensions arena through MGAC (Multi Group of actuarial Consultants).
