Franco La Marca is a Vice President and advisor at AllianceBernstein focused on helping individuals, families, and foundations grow multigenerational wealth. Franco specializes in helping people during impactful events such as: the sale of privately held businesses, divorces, and significant wealth transfers. Franco has broad experience advising business owners, and entrepreneurs, during their business exits by helping them to pre-experience the sale, the liquidity event that follows, and plan for the next stage of their lives strategically. He accomplishes this through his comprehensive understanding of the capital markets; coupled with his personal network of professional advisors (including investment bankers, attorneys, accountants, etc.); and, cutting-edge planning.
Prior to Bernstein, Franco advised at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Charles Schwab. In 2019, Franco launched a podcast series named, Your Financial Purpose, where he interviews leading innovators across sectors and industries on topics that impact wealth. Franco regularly hosts private experiences for friends, clients, and business partners to exchange ideas on topical financial matters. In 2017, CS Magazine named him a Chicago Power Player for the impact he’s made on the city’s philanthropic community having raised over $1 million for various causes. He holds a dual BA in International Relations from Lake Forest College and Waseda University, in Tokyo, Japan. Franco earned his JD from The John Marshall Law School and studied international law at The University of Sydney Australia. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and male ally Chair of Diversity for the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Franco lives in Chicago and is a member of the Punta Mita community.
