Biography

Carey Kolaja is the Vice President of Global Solutions Management within the product team at PayPal. In this role, she leads a global team focused on ensuring that products and solutions for the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa reflect the needs of customers in each local market.Previously, Carey served as Chief of Operations for Global Product at PayPal, where she led all aspects of business, financial, and organization performance. Before that, Carey was the head of the emerging opportunities product group where she led a new global product function, which was chartered to identify and nurture new product ideas and strategic partnerships to drive multichannel commerce beyond the “core payments” business.Carey began her career at eBay as a leader in the technology organization where she held various positions from 2003 through 2006. In March 2006, Carey moved over to PayPal as a Director of Global Marketing Technology and Operations, responsible for the strategic development and execution of PayPal’s direct marketing capabilities and customer analytics. She holds more than 18 years of diverse experience within the financial services and technology consulting industry in various operational and leadership roles for companies of all sizes, including UBS Warburg, Waterstone Consulting, Windomar Financial, and divine interVentures.

Carey is on the board of advisors for OLO and Nearbuy Systems. Both companies are changing the offline retail landscape through the use of mobile technologies. Carey holds a B.S. from the University of Indiana and is a graduate from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business
