Alejandro Estrada is the founder and managing partner of Catorce Ventures, an investment firm that helps technology companies grow by providing capital and strategic and operational advice.
He is also a Partner at The Angels’ Forum, one of the most respected and established Angel Investment Groups in Silicon Valley, where he focuses on leading investments in FinTech, Digital Commerce and Security.
Alejandro has over 25 years of global expertise on Innovation, Strategy, Sales, Product Management, Finance and Risk Management, at leading Global Financial and Technology Corporations such as Visa Inc., Banco Santander, Hewlett Packard and McKinsey & Co, and co-founded a leading eCommerce start-up in Latin America in the late 90s.
He recently worked for Visa Inc., in San Francisco, CA, where he was the Global Head of Credit Underwriting, Data Security and Fraud Risks, and Chief Risk Officer for the Americas. While at Visa he also led Product Development and Emerging Technology Teams, responsible for launching new payment products across new channels in the Americas.
Alejandro earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He graduated with a degree in industrial engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico, and has participated as speaker at over many global and regional financial and technology conferences.
He is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in Portuguese.
